Living A Life with Meaning... No Matter the Circumstances

Every situation we face we have two choices we can either learn from them and allow GOD to teach us through them or we can get down and depressed about it and let the situation overcome us. This past year and a half has been one that has literally taught me a lot from losing my Aunt Sharon to cancer just last month to having a close friend who is really family to me lose her baby when he was just 24 days old. I have learned so much from both of these situations, more about how to live everyday like it is my last, how to make sure I let everyone know that I love them before I get off the phone with them because it just might be the very last time I ever hear their voice on this earth. GOD is so amazing with how he teaches us different things if we will just let him teach us. Its been an amazing experience learning how to be there for my family both blood and those who I have "adopted" into my family by choice during the most difficult times of their lives. With the death of my Aunt I am learning how to be there for my family while still grieving myself and GOD is so amazing to give me those quiet moments of just reminiscing over all the memories of my Aunt and how amazing of a woman she really was and challenging me through her life to truly be a woman of honor no matter the circumstances life may throw my way. She truly inspired me more than I realized until after receiving word of her death to be a woman that no matter the physical pain or fatigue that I may face to still have a smile on my face and an encouraging word to offer.
In the death of sweet baby Kaysen which was in January of this year I learned how to let GOD take over and just be there for that part of my family in whatever they may need. His mommy and I grew up in the same youth group together and so thankful for her, though I cant imagine what she is feeling I do know a GOD who is our comforter and peace in life's hardest situations.
Something else I have learned is the fact that its okay to ask GOD questions when we are faced with situations like these. When we are faced with the death of a loved one who is so near and dear to our hearts GOD already knows we have questions and he wants us to ask him even though we may not get the answer this side of heaven he still wants us to ask. He wants us to pour out our hearts to him and give him all the questions.
Still learning everyday more of how to truly live a life with meaning no matter the circumstances.

Trusting GOD... No Matter What!

Dealing with health issues is something that no one ever wants to have to face, but when you are faced with a health issue you have two choices you can either invite yourself to your own pity party or you can choose to learn and grow from it. If you will allow GOD he will truly teach you in all of the situations you face.
Last year I was diagnosed with three different heart conditions, and after medicine all of them seemed to get better until about November, then my heart started to act crazy again. So in December I had to have a catheter ablation procedure, but they didn't end up doing the ablation part because they couldn't find anything to burn or cut. So they changed my heart medication and again for two or three months it seemed to get a little better. Around March my heart started doing crazy things again and this week I went to the doctor to find out that they could have missed something during the test in December, because the doctor could see on the EKG something going on.
I said all of that to say this that no matter what the circumstances that surround a situation you are facing GOD is there, he knows what you are going through, he sees you where you are and he cares about what you are dealing with. Trusting GOD fully is what he wants you to do, so many people have told me that and even GOD himself tells us to trust him time and time again through his word. However, that is a whole lot easier said than done, but when you go through something that all you can do is trust him because you can't see what is going to happen next it puts everything in a new perspective. When you think about it that is exactly what He wants us to do with our lives. Trust him with every minute and all of our tomorrows because he is who holds our future.
